Authority and Scope of Work

THE AUTHORITY AND SCOPE OF UBUNGO PARISH

Authority

The authority of Ubungo Parish comes from God himself, from the constitution of the ELCT and the regulations of the Eastern and Coastal Diocese, and from the constitution and laws of the country.

Scope of work

The parish's scope of work runs alongside that of the Diocese. Geographically this is the Dar es Salaam Region, part of the Coast Region — the districts of Mafia, Rufiji, Mkuranga, Kisarawe, Kibaha and part of Bagamoyo — and the islands of Zanzibar. In substance, the Diocese attends to both spiritual and developmental matters.
